Another Week Of Little Classes.

Being in Year 3 is so much more relaxing compared to year 2. There are more practicals, lesser lectures. I remember when I was in Year 2 I had to wake up at 7 everyday literally to attend classes. Cannot even afford to sleep late every night also because will end up 'fishing' in class. But now different la. Not every day I have class. Sometimes in the afternoon, sometimes in the morning, sometimes no class, and rarely full day class. Depends la, because there are a few groups for clinical and labs, so its kinda like inter spaced out la. Hence, our free periods. No need to wake up early every morning liao, hehe. This week I have 3 practical sessions and 5 hours of lectures only. Compared to Year 2, we have an average of 4 practical sessions and 12+ hours of lectures. Mati sia.

Brand new Sirona Dental Chairs in the polyclinic for us to use. wohoo!

Anyway, I had oral diagnosis session during my lab. Learnt procedure of history taking and how to diagnose the condition of the oral cavity. Basically the patient fowards us their complaints and we then follow up with their medical and dental history, do some examinations in and out of their mouth la. Digging up active caries especially in the molars can be quite disgusting, not to mention the breath. Eeew. Had our last revision in Simulation Lab on a Class 4 composite restoration. I still prefer placing rubber dam in the posterior teeth because of water retention. For anterior teeth, water from the bur tends to flow out easily. And you need an assistant to suction the water away. If not messy la.

On Monday the Dental Students Association had our annual Lantern Festival in AIMST Campus. As usual, it was a successful one. *bangga* Everyone was enjoying themselves and after a tiring event, we rewarded our hungry tummies at the 24 hour KFC at midnight. Photos can be viewed from Facebook la. I did'nt take any pictures but my friends did. The best part for me was seeing a bunch of Kong Ming lanterns floating up into the dark sky heading towards the brightly lit moon. So lang man la.

Received our dental scrubs today. Scrubs are meant to be worn one we enter clinics and treat patients and it comes in my favuorite colour. BLUE! See how nice it is draped against my blue bedsheets..ahahhahah xD The scrubs feels like pajamas la. Not that cooling also. And I will be having three pairs of these. Meant to be worn with white school shoes. Adoi. But this is what makes us dental students yeng ma. aahhaha.

Well, apart from classes, nothing much was done. Went for futsal and random makan makan. Esok Lantern Festival. Eh wait it is already -.-

So what to do tomorrow???

I Want To

..smack myself REAL hard. Where are you when I needed you? Please stop hiding or you'll not gain anything. And you'll regret.

And worse, I' already feeling very frustrated.

Getting tired of masquerading a jovial personality.

Stop it already.

Argh.

How to?

Sometimes, funny things happen in life. What's with us having to do something for someone just because we HAD to? It's not that we owe the person or the like of that. We do it for them just because we are human. It's our instinct to help each other. Instead of saying thank you, people tell that we just had to do it for them.

???!!

And if we do not do them, they start making a fuss as if it's mandatory for us to do so.

How do we deal with them?

I've Started Putting Capital Letters In My Posts

2 weeks++ of Year 3 had passed already. Staying outside is so much fun. Food are much better than the nauseating Jaya Catering at the Uni cafeteria. Yumcha and Counter Strike sessions at night as there are no curfew. So near to town. Play futsal with classmates anytime. Neither green bugs nor Charlie bugs. Neighbours left right front all AIMST students, kenal one. And the best is having a single room at a rate cheaper than AIMST.

Privacy best giler. ahahahaha =) .

Classes are waaaayy lesser than in Year 2 but there are lots of practicals. I think in every week, I have about 1 day plus where i don't have any classes. Dentistry lecutres seems fun, butMedicine and Surgery lectures are quite long and tiring.

Started with introductions to our university dental hospital and infection control of the dental unit. Did revision during Sim Lab on Class 2 prep indirect vision using composite restoration. I thought my skills karat already, but it turned out fine. hehe. Had Local Anaesthetic Introduction class yesterday. The whole syringe thingy is so cool and we will start injecting on our partners in the next practical class. Very the curious to see the numbing effects of Lidocaine and Epinehrine. Aduhai, can't wait for it xD

Oh, and we had our blue scrubs tailored :D. It's for us to wear when we start treating patients.
But we had to make 3 sets and but white school shoes (the dress code), worth RM260++, pay ourselves some more :(

That time I was cycling while admiring the beautiful bungalows in BLM and I stumbled upon a woodwalk facing the huge Merbok River. From there I coule see the majestic Gunung Jerai, the tallest mountain in Kedah. So breathtaking. And I did'nt know BLM had this place. lol. xD

So that's roughly how my life is la. As always, I don't know how to end my posts. It seems that my writing skills have merosot-rosot.

Urh..I think that's it la xD.

last night

last night staying in hostel. will be spending my last 3 years of study life staying off campus. hello freedom, bye bye ferocious hostel internet speed xD

no lah, it's not just the intenet speed, but i can say that i will miss the experience staying in hostel, meeting new people, seing my roomate mohan (apart from my housemates) and doing all sort things together. alot lah, too lazy to list type xD but now, i get freedom, i get privacy, i get to explore many things in life. i think it's time to change for good. =)

and now i am here blogging at 2.25am and downloading whatever large size movies or files. haha, see, i really am going to miss the internet here xD

till then, the hopefully you will be able to see me in cyber space soon :)

p/s : i peered at the moon through my window around 1 something and the sky tonight is amazing. the full moon shone brightly with stars glittering around and a line of clouds forming a perfect (yes, perfect) circle around the moon. it was amaxingly breathtaking. is it just me or what, but i think gazing at the moon and stars with the loved ones is just so romantic.

to kl, again. and back to sp

i was in kl again last week to teman my sis back to batu pahat. so i went there a day earlier la. i think this is the third time in a month i've been going to kl. but this time, i managed to meet some of my friends, my buddy and ex- roomates in um. met up with hui yin and roomate hong sing at midvalley. then in the evening, roomate #2 leon and chin keong brought me to puchong to try the dried bak kut teh. it was real good being able to catch up with buddies whom i've not met about 2 years. leon's still the same crazy guy who jokes around.

actually i find the bak kut teh really good! maybe because i was really hungry and it was raining that night.. xD no seriously, it's nice :)

i forgot the name of the shop, but its somewhere in taman bukit puchong. the shop appeared on the media before and it was not unusual to see so many people there.

after dinner we wanted to go pasar malam in ss2 but it was raining, so we decided not to go. leon dropped me off a lrt station because i was to meet my form 6 buddy, ah chiam. (seems like i have so much to do in so little time la). he brought me to his place segi college kota damansara where i stayed there.

have i told you that the hostel there is so nice?? the girls block is just beside the guys one, and the windows are left open. they dont even care at all. or rather they're already used to it. put some aimst students there and theres guaranteed chaos haha. the swimming pool and the basketball court is free to use 24/7. we played basketball and swam during midnight. so fun la. aimst sports facilities need to pay some more. its free over here. :)

well, anyways, after i washed up, ah chiam brought me to 'parking', a pub/bistro to minum. the place has nice music and was okay la. after minum we then went and eat lok lok just opposite the pub/bistro. and i didn'nt that eating lok lok after a drink at midnight can be so delicious! second round, we went kayu nasi kandar to minum malam and chatted till 3 something in the mornin until we KO. the next day he brought me to the curve. it's my first time there, and i did'nt know it was so big! jalan jalan until 4, i had to go and meet my sis in klcc dy.

oh, and i went around segi college to explore abit, and i went to the school of dentistry there. just curious hows things going on over there. saw a few dental chairs there, nothing much though, everything's pretty new.

it was an eventful one la. went to kl with 2 ulcers, came back with 4 ulcers. T.T
last minute plan to kl, at least still manage to meet friends. but abit sad because could not manage to get something :(

and and and, im going back aimst tomorrow ( super T.T). too fast la. im supposed to go back thursday/friday, but apparently my bus is due for services that day. the latest i can get is tomorrow morning. arghh, the dreadful journey, sitting the bus for half a day till my butt grows roots and carrying heavy luggages with me, stoping at muar, kl, perak, penang...maybe i'll just thake flight next time. less hassle. *geram*.

gotta start packing now, tata peeps! the next time i blog, i'll be in kedah dy :D
